संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, इटली, जापान,इजराइल तथा चीन में कोरोना वायरस (कोविड – 19) पर चल रहे शोध में यह प्रमाणित हुआ हैं कि कोरोना वायरस (कोविड – 19) फेफड़ों (Lungs) के साथ साथ मनुष्य के शरीर के ह्रदय (Heart), मस्तिष्क( दिमाग), गुर्दा ( किडनी ), तंत्रिका तंत्र ( Nervous System), त्वचा ( स्किन) इत्यादि अंगों को भी प्रभावित कर रहा हैं.
कोरोना वायरस (कोविड – 19) के संक्रमण द्वारा जिन मनुष्यों की मृत्यु हुई हैं उन पर किये गए शोध द्वारा यह जानकारी प्राप्त हुई है कि मृत संक्रमित मनुष्यों में ह्रदय रोग से पीड़ित व्यक्तियों की संख्या ज्यादा थी और कोरोना वायरस (कोविड – 19) के संक्रमण द्वारा मृत संक्रमित मनुष्यों के ह्रदय की कोशिकाएं भी क्षतिग्रस्त थी साथ ही यह भी पता चला हैं कि कोरोना वायरस (कोविड – 19) से संक्रमित व्यक्ति के शरीर में हृदय की मांसपेशियों में सूजन (मायोकार्डिटिस) भी थी.

कोरोना वायरस (कोविड – 19) से संक्रमित व्यक्ति को ज्यादा सांस की आवश्यकता होती हैं ,वह तीव्र गति से सांस लेने लगता हैं जिसके कारण उसके फेफड़ें (Lungs) भी प्रभावित होते हैं.

निमोनिया के कारण मनुष्य के फेफड़ों (Lungs) में एक द्रव इकठ्ठा होने लगता हैं. उस जमा हो रहे द्रव को समाप्त करने के लिए दवा दी जाती हैं. द्रव को समाप्त करने वाली दवा के प्रभाव से गुर्दा (किडनी) में रक्त प्रवाह प्रभावित होने लगता हैं अर्थात् रक्त जमने लगता हैं.
